No Allowance will be a podcast & website that will focus on encouraging entrepreneurship in children. The podcast will feature interviews with kids that are already entrepreneurs, adults who started off as entrepreneurs and people/organizations that operate in this space. The interviews will be geared towards encouraging kids, however the podcast will ultimately be focused towards parents, caregivers, educators and community by giving them resources and advice to foster the entrepreneurial spirit in youth. I will be going though my experience with my own children on how my wife and I are creating for our own children and using them as a case study. They have created a business and made “big money” for them at 4, 8 & 10.
Who are you trying to attract with your marketing message? Be specific.
The target audience will primarily be parents who want the best for their children. Ages 18-45. Parents
spend billions on “better” childcare and sports with the hope to give their children a better chance than they had. Many parents are at a loss to prepare their children for the real world beyond what they are learning in school, but want to help the more. Parents are busier than ever and may want to help their children or may want to have a done for you service. Some parents will not have the skills, background or mindset for this but feel that it is something that will ultimately is good for their kids.
Educators & Community:
There is a lot of stuff going on in schools and community in the kidpreneur space, but it is largely hidden. By expanding knowledge and being the source of what is going on I hope to be able to foster community around this space.
Ultimately, this podcast/movement will be for kids to realize that they can develop the skills to start a business or work on a social cause. Kids are tuned in, but may not have the family or school encouragement to do something on their own.
What is the overall message you want to convey to your target audience?
I would like kids, parents, community and educators to understand that entrepreneurial skills will serve kids well in life as an entrepreneur, corporate employee, public employee, trades person etc….
What are the benefits of your product/service?
We believe that there are other ways of being able to make "it" : 1) go to school: get a job, 2) learn a trade, 3) be an entrepreneur
We believe that entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship is possible for children under 18
We believe that parents & other adults need to play a role in cultivating these skills and open their children up to the world of possibilities
We believe that children being taught entrepreneurial skills will learn life lessons that will enable them to be successful in life
What attributes of your business / organization would you like your logo to reflect?
teach the 'entrepreneurial mindset', encouraging creativity, innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving and to seek opportunities
How do you intend to market your company?
