Data storage and enterprise data support is not only a technology industry but also a very conservative one. Therefore we don’t want any wild dayglo colors or “cute” clip art illustrations or marks.
We do want the logo to be conservative, but not boring. In the “logos we like” section of the brief we have 3 logos from blue chip companies that are both serious yet quite colorful. We included Expressjet because it is a fairly conservative logo that evokes speed. We think a multicolor logo would work if the colors were used properly -- to depict different types of data, for example. Otherwise, we should stick with the more conservative colors mentioned above. We would prefer custom colors over primary, so even the more conservative designs have a bit of a point of view.
Artemis was the Goddess of the hunt. We absolutely do not want Artemis depicted in the logo. However, the concepts of targets or arrows could work in an abstract way.
We want the Artemis Systems logo to evoke our ability to harness large amounts of data and to service our blue chip customer base. The logo will need to work in harmony with the HP logo. We have posted some examples.
Regarding the logos posted in the images section: Comport is a brother company to Artemis. The Artemis image posted comes from a Girl Scout Camp called Artemis. We included two HP logos (one with "digital bits"). Net Direct and Shi are competitive companies. Finally we posted an image the BT logo next to HP, denoting partnership, to show how the two work together.
