We need a logo! The Gulf Coast Partnership is a 501(c)3 not-for profit corporation. We are what is referred to as the “Continuum of Care (CoC)”, a collaborative funding and planning body that helps our County plan for and provide, as necessary, a full range of emergency, prevention, permanent housing and other service resources to address the various needs of homeless persons. The Continuum of Care Lead Agency (Gulf Coast Partnership) is designated as the primary decision making body to be the entity that submits the Annual CoC Funding Applications to the State and Federal Government.
The Gulf Coast Partnership (GCP) , will be working on several key strategies over the next eight years. These strategies include: compliance with the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing or HEARTH ACT (24CFR) - the new definition of homelessness, implementation of a HUD Coordinated Intake & Assessment System, funding and coordination for the 10 Year Plan to Prevent & End Homelessness, and developing capacity of agencies serving the Homeless and Extremely Low Income (ELI) populations. Community compliance with the HEARTH Act is an essential part of our community’s planning and funding processes. Additionally, the Gulf Coast Partnership fulfills other key duties such as: Filing the US Department of HUD required reports, Filing State Office on Homelessness reports, and Administering the Community Information System (CIS).
