Attached you can find our former logo (sketched as a placeholder during a startup competition), as well as the change we were considering: a flat, stylized version of The Thinker. We are, however, concerned that people may not recognize the artistic reference. Otherwise, we've heard that it might be perceived as a man on the toilet—not exactly what we're going for.
Since our name is derived from Greek mythology (check Wikipedia), we could imagine our logo with a Greek motif (laurels, a pillar, Olympic flame, etc.). We've also considered symbols that match our vision (see above), or underlying values (equality, wisdom, reverence for knowledge, etc.).
We're looking for something iconic—a relatively simple, flat design that will be easy to recognize.
Some slogans we've been experimenting with:
"Your personal librarian." (formal, user-facing)
"Don't buy. Borrow!" (informal, user-facing)
"Unhindered access." (formal, library-facing)
"Your digital doorway." (informal, library-facing)
