Bet Smart Media Inc. is a start-up online company that provides wager tracking and analysis tools that will revolutionize the online sports wagering industry. We're three founders based in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada who have been working on internet projects since '99. We aim to be as indispensable to online wagering as Yahoo! Finance is to equity investors. We're also working on innovative crowd-sourcing technologies to connect fans located at actual sporting events to online sports wagering markets, in real-time.

Our online sports wagering tools are aimed at people who can be characterized as advanced bettors at the amateur level. By this
characterization, the users are high-functioning in their understanding of wagering fundamentals, the underlying mathematics, and of course are hardcore sports fans. The “amateur” reference alludes to the fact that they do not wager as a career.
After doing research and multiple surveys, we've found that online sports bettors are 68% male. The same study showed the average age of these bettors to be in their “mid 30s”. 61% of bettors hold at least a college degree. 41% of U.S. bettors earn more than $75,000 per year.
We are looking to tap into this target audience specifically, and position ourselves as sophisticated, yet approachable. We want to be seen as being at the forefront of online sports wagering content, social media, crowd sourcing, and analytics technologies.
Bet Smart Media would like to turn this project over to you, the designer. We really don't have too many requirements. As we're in the online sports wagering / betting space- some sort of tie-in to sports and/or wagering would make sense, but isn't necessary. We'd definitely like to suggest that you are free to be creative. That said, we'd like to be taken as a sophisticated provider of sports wagering related data so we'd like to see a balance struck between that sophistication while also being an approachable brand for the average major league sports enthusiast.
This contest is to develop a logo for our parent company: Bet Smart Media Inc. - we will run a separate contest to develop a logo and identity for our actual flagship product.
