We sell business consulting services (people, process, technology alignment) to small and medium size businesses. We will specifically target customers in their 40's and 50's who are humble and risk averse yet open to new ideas and improvement advice. We want to convey that we are experts at improving profitability through the identification and execution of improved technology, process, and people strategies. The logo will be used most on business cards, power points, and the website.

I have tended to prefer darker (almost navy) blues OR schemes that incorporate black, gold, and white. The first use of the logo will be on a business card, but I have not decided whether that business card would be white, grey, or some other, more dynamic color.

I like how this design looks "modular"
This style is very attractive to me. The image integrates well with the words/name to form a dynamic logo.
The name modular gains comes from the idea of marginal gains... basically the idea is that you seek improvement in a modular fashion instead of looking fro 1% improvement here or there. Think of it like using legos to build something vs. using glue to add on little tidbits here or there.. Each gain should be large enough and self-sufficient enough to be sustainable on its own (and hold the weight of anything that is built on top of it). I think the logo needs to play off this idea of modular improvements or modular growth.
