NOTE: For phase 1 of the contest please only submit black and white designs. In the second round, once we get a better idea of the design, we will start to experiment with colors.
This is the first thing we have done to promote the business, so we have no color scheme picked out. Be creative!
We like the idea of making the monument fit into the design in some way. Here are thoughts for the designs featured above:
Brickell Group: We like the font and the all caps with the first letter being a little larger than the rest. (This was a sample font so that is about all that would work for our purposes.)
Modlich Monument Company: We like this logo design. The font is good, but it would be better if it was a little thicker. The color scheme is okay. We like how the name looks like the base of the monument, and how the logo itself looks like the top of a monument. Overall it looks like a monument, without being overly so.
Garden Monument Services: This was a good example of how the monument wraps around the logo.
Superior Monument: this is another example of a logo that has the outline of a monument. We don't like the hammer and chisel, but were open to other choices for graphics.
We hope that helps. We look forward to your design submissions.
PS 3 photos of monuments we have done have been submitted for reference.
