Vicki’s logo and color palette should be consistent with her deep commitment to core values. Designers should take great care to convey her as authentic and trustworthy. Like her work, the design and color scheme that supports her must promote her core values, which include: harmony, transparency, caring, and personal responsibility.
The foundation of Vicki’s logo mark must be a simple and readable treatment of her name: “Vicki Hess.” Font choice and type treatment will be critical to the design of this logo. Other elements may be added, but they are not necessary, and care must be taken that they do not complicate the mark unnecessarily.
Vicki has adopted a new tag line, “Engagement, Every Step of the Way.” This tag line may (or may not) lead the designer to creative concepts. It is not important to play on simple concepts in the logo, and designers are encouraged to avoid overly obvious imagery that might cheapen her image. That said, the logo should support the tag line, as some applications of the logo will need to include the tag line and others will not.
Does the client have a preferred color palette or a preferred style?
In previous work, Vicki has encouraged clients to achieve a “professional paradise.” And so, some of her imagery has featured islands, beaches, clouds, and sunsets. Designers are encouraged to visit her website at http://www.vickihess.com/.
Designers are encouraged NOT to get stuck in the pattern of her past designs. This logo should be fresh, professional, and still convey the values that have distinguished her work.
