We want the word Splice to stand out more than Pro. We like the idea of incorporating a film strip into the logo, but this is not a requirement. Please feel free to experiment or do what you think works best.
Also, "splice" means to join at the ends. It has been used in video editing because two pieces of 35mm film would be joined together to make an edit. Nobody edits film any more but the term is still used to refer to video editing.
I promise I will respond very quickly if I see potential in your design! I want to communicate with the designers. As videographers and editors, we appreciate and understand the hard work you put into this!
Also, SplicePro is based in Nepal, which is why we have limited funds. Besides being a post-production company, we also have a social mission to provide opportunities to young, Nepali editors, who are incredibly determined and talented, yet have very few chances to make a living using their skills. With us, they're able to work on international projects, and we teach them advanced post-production skills, how to use Macs (most of them have only ever used PCs), and we provide opportunities to improve their English.
Thanks for reading this and we look forward to seeing your designs.
