I'd like the Nectar logo to blend clean, simple, modern elements and typeface with the warmth and character of traditional apothecary label design. See the uploaded pdf files for basic concept, which needs to be taken to the next level. I'd like the Nectar typeface to be warmer, perhaps a simple apothecary label element added, the mark polished and well integrated with the name.
Other things to know:
--the logo will be used on labels for small 1 ounce and 2 ounce bottles, so it needs to work well sized small and leave room on a small label for other important stuff.
--I'd also like the logo to work well in black & white.
--the "A" in "A Modern Herbal Apothecary" and "LLC" can be dropped if that works, and the 3-4 words do no necessarily need to appear in one line. You'll see some examples where they are split up.
--when we get to the finished design, I'd like color and black & white versions, as well as a color and grey scale version of the mark.
--finally, if the finished version is more square or vertical than horizontal, I may need a horizontal version (using the same elements) for the horizontal sign space that is already on the store front. Fortunately, the actual logo will also be front and center on the window.
All that said--I'm not an artist or graphic designer, so if you have a take on the basic idea that will be more awesome and totally unforgettable, I'd love to see it. Thank you for considering my project.
