I'm so excited to have you to design these logos for us! My wife and I run 3 sites:
Healthy Eating Starts Here (Holistic Nutrition) http://www.healthyeatingstartshere.com
Healthy Vegan Recipes (Vegan Recipes) http://www.healthyveganrecipes.net
Smiling Gardener (Organic Gardening) http://www.smilinggardener.com
The existing logos are boring ones I threw together. We want them to look more professional and overall awesome, with continuity between the 3 logos.
They can all be designed with matching font and style and perhaps even the same image or more likely a similar style of image, either to the left of the logo or incorporated into the logo.
I’m not sure what to use for the image(s). Heather likes greens (kale, parsley, sprouts) or fruit (apple, fig, pear, berry, pineapple) for her 2 sites. I like also like greens for my gardening site.
I like the logos to have a wide landscape aspect ratio as they do now, in order to fit up in the small header. Please don’t use super expensive fonts. I prefer fonts that I don't have to go hunting down.
We’re very flexible on color. We like simple - 1 or 2 colors. We can easily change the color scheme of our websites, although the logo will probably be on black/grey or blue background. I'm not going to get too fussy about colors in this contest because I can easily change them later as our websites evolve (don't bother using the orange that is currently on her sites - that was a temporary halloween thing).
Our websites are viewed by people of all ages from all around the world, but the majority are from the U.S.A., 75% female.
I need to be able to touch up the logo colors/layout in Illustrator in case there are later changes.
The winning designer will be credited in a blog post, with a link to wherever you want.
