Impactful design for a veterans performing arts center

We are opening a performing arts center for veterans that is run entirely by veterans. Our non-profit, The Heroes Journey, teaches storytelling to veterans and their families in all forms: live story, theater, comedy, music and song. Helping veterans find their voice and tell their stories is one of the most effective means of allowing them to fully transition home and heal from trauma.

The attached images are the logos for our existing non-profit and our for-profit businesses for reference. We don't really have a clue of what we want other than we want it to somehow visually indicate that this is a veteran themed thing without going over the top. We don't want tragedy/comedy masks included anywhere. If this helps, "better ground" is a military term that has existed for ages. It simply means moving to a more tactically advantageous position. We are using this as a play on words to indicate the level of expression and healing that veterans will receive, from learning the arts, that will get them to a better position in their lives.
