The Atlanta Youth Coalition
The Atlanta Youth Coalition Inc. is a non profit youth center that offers unique programs to children and teens to help them build character and develop into tomorrows citizens.
The Atlanta Youth Coalition is a 10 year old youth center that offers unique programs to youth that may not otherwise have to opportunity to take part in such things. We are in the process of re-branding ourselves. Our main three program areas are music and arts, technology and business entrepreneurship. For example under music and arts we offer a marching percussion drum line, steel pan drums, a drum and bugle corp. Under technology we offer robotics, computer animation, advanced computer programming and TV video production. Through our programs and careful selection of our staff we hope to build character and mold youth through the interaction and implementation of our programs. While our main competitors are the Boy and Girls Club and YMCA’s we seek to distance ourselves from them by offering unique programs and a unique one on one mentoring experience. Our target age group for youth is 9-21.
The logo we seek must be multi-purpose. It must both be able to be used to portray a corporate image but also be youthful enough for a teenager to be proud to wear on a t-shirt. It must portray a seriousness that would enable corporate donations yet it must not be so much so as to not attract young people. It must be vibrant and unique as our organization.
The logo should consist of an emblem as well as the full name for The Atlanta Youth Coalition. It would be nice if the emblem could be used and recognized without the full name present. It is permissible also to include the letters AYC or The AYC in the emblem if you choose. We do not wish to look like a non-profit, recreation center, day care or some feeble organization down on its luck. We wish to present ourselves as a company developing the future, which is our youth. The logo should be high tech with web 2.0 qualities yet hip-hoppish and corporate rolled all into one. It should be bold and aggressive yet portray compassion and mentorship
At the time we have no preferences at all. You have a blank slate to start from. Our color palette is open.
• Please do not try to represent any of our three program areas into the logo for they are subject to change.
• Do not incorporate children holding hands in a circle or anything cliché
• No hands of any kind or size
• No heads or body shapes
• No cartoons
• No graffiti or spray paint styles
