JET is a common brand for a group of businesses for a company which is in the general IT space: ranging from hardware sales and IT consulting to VOIP/voice solutions.
The logo does NOT have to immediately identify the line of business (and the line is diverse anyway since it is a group of businesses)!
The key element of the logo is the word \"JET\" since that is the common brand within the group. That part of the logo will need to be common for all of the businesses in the group, with the other part being easily replaceable. The other part of the logo/name will be modified/replaced internally in the company for each line of business.
For the contest, you should use \"Voice JET\" as the business name for the logo that you are making.
The logo should incorporate a stylised image of a cheetah or a tiger and in general represent: speed, power, agility, strength. A whole body of the animal does not need to be represented - only an identifiable part - and, again, it can be a stylised form (though not in a Disney/cartoon sense). Also, it does NOT need to have the traditional colours of the animal (eg. orange)!
I don\'t want to discriminate against other strong animals (eg. grizzly bear) and if you think you have an awesome design with another such animal, please submit it. However, I\'m a big cat sort of a person and I think that cheetah or a tiger are best at representing what the company is about.
I would strongly prefer if clipart is not used for the animal form! If you use clipart, please indicate so in your entry. Also, if the clipart is used as a basis for the animal form, please ensure that the clipart is completely free for business use and will not require any royalty payments.
The colour scheme is completely open (sensible business colours), but it must also work in a pure black & white mode. I would prefer more the use of solid colours than gradients.
I will provide feedback on an ongoing basis to all the participants. I will also be upfront and honest with you. If it doesn\'t work for me, I\'ll tell you, rather than have you re-do something that I think just isn\'t going to work.
Winning designer will need to provide the source font used for the logo. If the font is not free, just the name of the font and where it can be purchased from is required.
If you can\'t supply the final design in Hi-Res PSD or AI, please let me know early to discuss alternative file formats.
