It is absolutely necessary that your design submissions are original, including the font. If you have copied or are using someone else's designs, ideas, or fonts, do not submit anything to us.
We are working on a tagline which currently is: "Helping you make smart choices about money". Even though we may change this, your logo submission should incorporate a tagline.
We want a strong, clear, professional, simplistic logo that is contemporary but not over the top. We like asymmetrical designs, but they must feel balanced. We also like movement, fluidity.
At the risk of sounding schizophrenic . . . we hope the design can provide a balance of feminine and masculine (many of our client's are couples or are both men and women, so it needs to appeal to both sexes), and a balance of traditional and contemporary (since many of our clients are over 50, but are definitely technologically savvy and not 'old school'). How all these things visually work together is your challenge.
We want something straightforward to reproduce: not a ton of colors, and gradation is okay, but the design should be as strong without gradation. We prefer your submission to be WITHOUT shadows or reflective elements.
You should be able to provide the following for each submission: black & white (or gray scale), and color; with and without tagline.
Main target audiences and characteristics: couples and singles, 40 and up, retirees, people saving for college, small business owners. Committed to a financial strategy, and willing to delegate the implementation of that strategy to our company.
We promise to provide designers with clear and prompt feedback, including star ratings or elimination. If there are many submissions, we may not be able to provide written feedback, but will try to do so if you contact us.
Final design chosen needs to be provided in vector file format: AI, and also raster formats: jpg, png, tiff
