I'm trying to communicate the message with this logo that the Dakota Gear (TM) products are "Rugged and Reliable," tough, enduring, solid ... perhaps like the type of outdoor gear that you might need to use in North or South Dakota, in the United States. Perhaps as "Rough and Rugged" as a South Dakota buffalo ... or as smart and wily and "survivalist" as a South Dakota coyote ... or as enduring as the South Dakota buttes.
Sometimes they are "survival" products, sometimes military or paramilitary products, sometimes they are "emergency rescue" products. (Firefighters, EMT's, paramedics, Ski Patrol, etc.)
(Commercial Paracord, Military Specification Paracord, tactical flashlights, Paracord Bracelet (making) Kits, Marine Grade Shock Cord, and we are actively expanding into other "outdoors" and "sports" products.)
We do have a website (in need of updating!) that will provide you with an idea of some of our products:
And related products from another of our websites that we will probably eventually merge into our Dakota Gear (TM) brand:
As for colors in the logo ... (I'm not a graphic designer or at all good with colors, so I don't want to limit the work or imagination of a "real" designer ... but some of my thoughts might be ... )
Maybe not "feminine colors, like pink, mauve, violet, light green, yellow (?), maybe not pastel colors,
But maybe more "masculine" and "earthy" (or even military) colors, like medium blue, navy blue, brown, tan, red (?), dark red, burgundy, medium green, dark green, black, white, gray, maybe a "splash" of yellow (?) ...
Sorry, I don't have any images or sketches or documents that might be helpful. (I think my images or sketches might just "confuse" a "real" designer!)
