This logo will be the branding for a "LIVE EVENT / CONFERENCE" that we are calling "Free The Dream."
The conference is for those who were told, as a kid, that that they could be anything or do anything they want when they grow up. These folks had all sorts of dreams of what they might want to do with their life.
However, as they got older, these folks were told that their dream was not realistic and that they could not become a responsible adult by pursuing their dream.
The author, Robert McCammon, wrote ... "We all start out knowing magic (with a dream). We are born with whirlwinds, forest fires, and comets inside us. We are born able to sing to birds and read the clouds and see our destiny in grains of sand. But then we get the magic educated right out of our souls. We get it churched out, spanked out, washed out, and combed out. We get put on the straight and narrow and told to be responsible. Told to act our age. Told to grow up, for God’s sake. And you know why we were told that? Because the people doing the telling were afraid of our wildness and youth, and because the magic we knew made them ashamed and sad of what they’d allowed to wither in themselves."
This event is for those who have now lived a lifetime as an employee, doing work that they have become great at doing and that they they are well compensated for (ie. they are financially successful), however, with each passing year, they find that yet another little part of their soul has died, knowing that they are not free to do what they feel most called to do with their life.
This event is for those who are on the verge of or who have already made the decision to leave what they now call their "soul sucking day job" to pursue their DREAM of living a life where their work allows them to do what they most love to do.
This event will help people break free from limiting beliefs that are holding them back from finding success in the pursuit of their dream life/career.
This event will help them understand they they are good enough, that there are opportunities outside of the traditional career path, that they can build a responsible and profitable career doing what they most love to do, using their gifts, talents and passion to make their greatest contribution to the world through the work that they do.
This event is to help them "Free The Dream" inside of them. To give them freedom to pursue that dream. To break free from the programming and conditioning that has happened to their mindset over all these years.
This event is to help people understand that it's not too late to decide what you want to be when you grow up, even if your 25, 35, 45, 55, or even 65.

First: Very Important: We must avoid having our logo use an image of a person leaping that would look anything like the image found at http://share.gspn.tv/muen/free_the_…m_logo.jpg This is someone else's official logo with the same brand name.
Our logo should visually communicate the concept of breaking free from where you have been held captive and that, as a result of "freeing the dream" you are now leaving confines of where you were to pursue what your were created to be.
My experience is that my audience is typically 75% men and 25% women and I expect the event attendance to be about the same.
For this reason, I would like the image in the logo to be something that would appeal to men who are stuck in a day job that they now consider to be soul sucking. (But at the same time, not something that is so masculine that it would not also appeal to women as well.)
These folks are looking for FREEDOM to choose their own path.
They are looking to BREAK FREE from the LIMITING BELIEFS that have been keeping them from CHASING THEIR DREAMS of a running their own BUSINESS and the freedom to create their own schedule.
I do not want the image to depict the inner child that still had dreams. Instead, I'd like to communicate the concept that of an adult who has broken free and is on the path to living a life by their own design.
Potential ideas for the image part of the logo:
1) A cage that has been opened. (the idea being that we've lived our life in a locked cage, but now the cage has been opened and we are no longer confined to that cage.
2) A person who is "breaking free" (The idea being that they this person has been held back for too long and now they are bolding "breaking free" into their new future (their destiny).
* Bonus points if you come up with something even more creative that what I've shared in the first few image ideas above.
