The Imperial Court of Toronto - we do also use TICOT but full name is important - may request to have both layed out
The Imperial Court of Toronto (TICOT) was founded in 1987 under the founding name the Trillium Monarchist Society (TMS). The original mandate of the organization was to promote ‘Friendship, Unity & Nonsense’ (F.U.N.) through holding entertaining fund-raising events. Each year after, there has been an election in Toronto to fill the position of Emperor and/or Empress.
We are very similar in nature to the Society for Creative Anachronism in that our membership develop and portray various personas, most of which are Royal Personages. We are like a LARP game except instead of the Middle Ages, we are set in Current Day.
Our members wear crowns, tiaras, oversize jewelry and more. It is common to see beads, sequins, furs and feathers at our High State Events.
Those elected are crowned at the annual Coronation Ball, which is the major fund-raiser for the Society. Duties include organizing social events to raise funds for a charity of choice and acting as a Goodwill Ambassador for Toronto at International Court System functions across Canada and the United States.
Since inception, 1987 TICOT has entertained thousands raising money for many local charities - Casey House, The Toronto PWA Foundation, AIDS Committee of Toronto, AIDS Tijuana, The C.L.G. Archives, the Metro Toronto Police (1st Bikes), Sick Kids Hospital, and Gilda's Club ... It is estimated that during our 22 years in operation, we've donated over $660,000 to local charities. We established the Emperor I Sergio Apolloni Memorial Scholarship in 1993, which is now awarded to a student in the Sexual Diversity Studies program at the University of Toronto, annually. We offer a social outlet through a series of annual & weekly events. See http://www.theimperialcourtoftoronto.com for more info.

We need a logo that will be instantly recognizable and grab interest from a diverse audience. Primary focus is two fold a) targeting the LGBT Communities while b) providing a certain caché for attracting new corporate sponsorship.
Please note that the logo will be used in print and online. It will be used locally, nationally and internationally.
Please enter - we need the re-branding and would very much like to be able to award from this contest - as will be prior to major printing for Toronto Pride.
We would like to not tie the hands of the designers (in past we have used Pink, Green and Light Yellow, but are not married to any.).
We have also used the Trillium (three petal flower) as the Flower of the Province of Ontario in both previous incarnations of the logo (we no longer represent all of Ontario so we are also not married to or against it).
Primarily we need to create a new visual identity for “The Imperial Court of Toronto”.
We are open to new ideas and concepts as long as your focus is the branding of “The Imperial Court of Toronto” as:
- Professional.
- Corporate.
- Keeping with an image sellable in the LGBT Communities without loosing Mainstream appeal.
