SPROOKi is a location-based deals service targeting shoppers in high-density malls in South-East Asia. Shoppers who have downloaded the SPROOKi application on the smart phone (iPhone, Android, Blackberry) will receive deal alerts once they are in the vicinity of participating malls and retailers. Upon accepting a deal through the SPROOki application, shoppers are able to transact (make payment) and redeem directly at the retailer. Examples of typical retailers are clothing & apparel, chemists & cosmetics, department stores, restaurants & bars, books, electronics & IT and some services (hair, beauty, movies etc..) The purpose and midst of the shopper is "enjoyment" as opposed to something akin to grocery shopping ("a chore").

The name "SPROOKi" is derived from the word "to spruik" . AN Australian verb meaning to promote goods, services, or a cause by addressing people in a public place ( humorous ).
Some visual ideas would be to incorporate symbols along the lines of mapping/ location based icons and "radar / waves".
