As a high-end boutique winery, it is very important that our logo be sophisticated and inviting. Our name Four Winds was chosen to represent journeys, movement, change and travel. We would like the artist to keep this in mind in their design. To that end, we have decided we might wish to incorporate a rose compass into the logo. A rose compass is what is printed on old maps, (we have attached examples for reference). We would like the artist to consider incorporating this type of compass into our logo, drawing on their own creativity and imagination when designing it. However, we are open to suggestions regarding the pictorial aspect of our logo, (if any), as long as it conveys a sense of direction and movement.
Our final label will have a vintage / antique look but the logo should be a balance between old and new.
The entire name of our company is Four Winds Cellars. However, we need a logo that can omit or include the word “Cellars” for different uses. Sometimes we will simply be know as Four Winds, sometimes we will use our name in its entirety ~ Four Winds Wine Cellars. Designs should offer a second alternative showing one with “Cellars” and one without.
We would like there to be some fluidity in the logo ~ we don’t want it to appear stagnant.
Important Note: This logo will be used on wine bottle labels and therefore a more vertical format would be preferred.
