We are launching a new discount retail store. The new company is a retail store location called Black Fridays. The concept is a cross between a Dollar General and a Savers. All products sold at Black Fridays will be either new (overstocked or discontinued) or store returns. Unlike Savers, there will not be any used items in the store. The vast majority of the products sold will be household items, small appliances, low-end electronics, and toys, however there will be some clothing and other items.
The store will be open five days per week. Once per week the store will be stocked with entirely new items. The items sold in the store will vary from week to week. Each day every item in the store will be exactly the same price. Here is an example:
Friday 10-7pm - Every item is $8
Saturday 10-7pm - Every item is $6
Monday noon-7pm - Every item is $3
Tuesday noon-7pm - $2 Buy one get one free!
Wednesday noon-4pm - Every item is $.50
Thursday - Closed for restocking
Our target market is primarily El Paso, Texas and secondarily Juarez, Mexico (Northern Chihuahua consumer). Economic status of the target market is low to middle-income AND bargain hunters in the middle to high-income brackets. We will have customers who speak both English and/or Spanish.
Our focus is on household incomes of $45,000/year (US) or less. The people who are shopping at Black Friday will likely also be shopping at stores such as Walmart, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Big Lots. These are bargain shoppers looking for the best deals and low prices. Many of the items sold in our store are "luxury" items that our buyers wouldn't be able to afford to pay full price for. So, Black Fridays is giving them the opportunity to purchase "luxuries" at a huge discount. These would be items such as coffee makers, name brand home goods, small electronics, cosmetics, etc. They will also find home necessities and decor.
We are open to color ideas, however, we really like the idea of black on yellow combination. We also really like this color #00ccff. So, please include some options with those colors. I am attaching a few rough designs we developed. These are just to get your creativity flowing.
We will NOT have shopping carts in the store. We like the concept attached, we wouldn't want a shopping cart in the logo.
We are located on the US/Mexico border, so the logo should be multi-cultural and appeal to a diverse population.
Our internal store motto will be fast, fun, friendly.
