UPDATED: SEE UPDATE BELOW
We are known as the "Redbacks" and the logo must include a drawn image/cartoon/caricature of a redback spider. If you're not familiar with the redback, a quick google search will show what one looks like.
I've included our old logo which we're looking to get away from as it's old, flat & dated - I'm looking for something new & fresh with attitude.
The logo's primary use will be on our playing shirts & club website http://www.gpcricket.com.au - I'm open to any general shape of the logo, but would like to get away from the circular one we currently have.
The club colours are red & black - white is also often used, but is completely optional.
Cricket imagery may be incorporated into the logo if it helps make the logo more imposing, but is certainly not necessary or even encouraged. If it is, it must be a 'cricket bat' - or a 'cricket ball' may also work (again, google for examples of what they look like if you're not familiar with cricket).
As for text, the club name may be expressed as any of the following;
- Glenmore Park Cricket Club
- Glenmore Park CC
- Glenmore Park Redbacks
UPDATE: Easts.JPG has been added to the attached files, this is the sort of thing we would be very happy with (of course with the Redback image/caricature in place of the Dolphin & in our club colours) - if an entrant was to get close to this they would be very likely to be the winning entry.
Hope that gives you enough to work with, if not, please ask.
