PLEASE READ THIS BRIEF CAREFULLY, since we have some very specific instructions for this job.
As you can see at http://truckdrivingjobsgeorgia.com/, this layout will work best with a horizontal logo - 70px height by 300-400px width will fit nicely. Other than using the site as a reference for the logo dimensions, please DO NOT use the logo at TruckDrivingJobsGeorgia as an example. In fact, it represents what we do not want – a clip art type logo that looks thrown together with an overused, corny trucking icon. The idea of using a road or wheel or something to tie it in with trucking is fine, but it can’t look “clip-arty.” You may have more success if you create something interesting with an all type logo.
This logo will be used on multiple sites where the name of the state will be changed (For example, TruckDrivingJobsTexas.com, TruckDrivingJobsCalifornia.com, and so on), so IT’S VERY IMPORTANT that the word “Georgia” stand out from the other words in the name, because this logo will be slightly altered to be used on sites where the US state name is different. This is why the state name should stand out from the other type.
This logo is for truck drivers. They go there to search for jobs in the area where they live.
Also, I want to share a few things about how we run our 99designs contests. First, please understand that these contests can become huge with thousands of designs to evaluate. We respect the work put in by you designers, so we work hard to provide feedback and ratings for each design. To do that, we have to be very efficient in our communications, so we ask that you forego the normal courtesy of messages saying “thanks” or “please provide feedback.” Please send messages and respond to our message only with important information. While we appreciate courtesy, if you post a message or response saying “thanks”, that action generates an email to us from 99 Designs that causes us to link to the site, log-in, and read your message. With hundreds of bits of feedback and legitimate messages, we don’t want to clog things up with “thanks” or “please send feedback.” Only send us messages with important information, please. If this sounds harsh, please consider the positive side … we hope to do many projects with the designers we find here, so the ability to read a brief, follow instructions, and work well with a team are nearly as important as design ability.
For each designer, we almost always eliminate every design except that designer's best. Otherwise, we have too many designs to keep track of. So if one of your designs is eliminated without feedback, it probably just means that we've give feedback on another of your designs that we prefer.
Please understand that we may have hundreds of logos to rate and offer feedback on. If we don't always say it, please know that we appreciate every entry.
Last, please limit yourself to design submissions. We aren't interested in sales pitches for other services or suggestions about how to run the contest. Anyone who sends messages trying to sell us something or offering some scam on the side will be immediately eliminated (sorry to have to say it, but it does happen). Just stick to submitting great designs, and all will be well.
Again, thank you in advance for your time and talent ... and good luck!
