Oberon was selected for the name as it is a methane-rich moon around the planet Uranus. Although the reference is somewhat humorous, we are not trying to convey humor in our corporate image.
Methane is typically associated with an ice-blue color - think Neptune or maybe the blue flame of natural gas (which is a form of methane).
The technology can be used to capture and utilize waste biogas, so it is a potentially important cleantech innovation. Green is typically associated with cleantech companies.
The company was renamed from SynCH Energy - the logo for that company is attached as a reference. That logo conveyed the cleantech nature and the association with the oil industry, so it was pretty good in that respect.
The new logo does not have to mimic the SynCH logo at all. The Oberon logo needs to convey that it is a respected, credible, high-tech, cleantech company.
At this time there is no tagline. Both Oberon and Fuels should be included in the logo, although I am fine with making the Oberon more prominent.
