My background is technical.
I'm all about efficiency and automation.
I build/host websites.
I have 300 domains I need to setup websites for...
I've had enough of setting up individual Joomla/MySQL installs for each site.
I knew I could build a single system to host all sites and so went about writing down my ideas for MagnitudeCMS ( http://magnitudecms.com ).
I've now made time to build MagnitudeCMS while launching a production website ( http://bit.ly/3Ms3n8 ).
I'm in the process of tidying it all up and launching a proper website that people are able to visit to find out more about MagnitudeCMS to see if it is tool that would help them get what they want to get done, done.
The open source model allows me to interact with people who might have ideas to contribute or think of things I haven't thought of...
Cuéntanos a qué tipo de público quieres llegar
This isn't a Joomla/Wordpress/mum and dad friendly product.
The people who choose to use MagnitudeCMS will be people who get the web technically and want to build websites quickly and do it all in the browser.
They are SEO types, Web design shops, consultants, developers, early adopters, innovators, people who like new shiny toys.
It needs to scale down to 16x16 pixels (favicon)
You can use the word MagnitudeCMS and substitute a letter with a graphic (like the slicehost logo)
Magnitude implies: "scale", "large", "bold" to me so a logo that matches that would be good. This doesn't mean red ;)
Feel free to try other colours, I like what I "see" over what I "think" :)
Have the logo work in grey scale / black & white
Obviously if the logo is overly complicated it is going to be a blur when it is shrunk to 16x16 pixels.
I also need a website design, however as this is an open source project I'm not really up for paying for it. I have access to someone who can do it for free. Basically if you were to do it I'd link you and attribute you for the design - never know might lead to future work.
Also due to the low amount I'm paying for this logo I'll attribute you for this logo's design. If I did this logo contest at $700+ I wouldn't.
Thanks for stopping by and reading. I look forward to seeing your ideas ;)
