What is the assignment?
Oxyopia is a new company with a great amount of experience in researching customer needs and opinions. Oxyopia is also a medical term for unusually good/acute eyesight. The company name was chosen because we know our clients see things much more clearly when they incorporate knowledge about their customers.
Our job is to put those customers at the center of clients’ design process, whether they’re designing products, services, or experiences (websites to stores). By interviewing, surveying, and observing our clients’ customers, we provide insight that leads to smarter business decisions.
What is the plain truth about this assignment?
Oxyopia will initially be an unknown brand with a strange name that’s hard to remember. We will have limited exposure or credibility at first. We need to build some of this through brilliant visual design to complement our smart people.
Who are we are we trying to connect with?
We are a business-to-business company. Clients come to us when they need in-depth analysis, insights, or ideas regarding their target customers/audiences. Oxyopia’s brand will be seen by:
o Busy Executives who are unfamiliar with research, and need to see credibility and value immediately
o Research Professionals who will consider hiring us to research for them because they are too busy to do it themselves
o Do-It-Yourself Researchers who want us to educate them on how to research
What do we want them to think/feel?
We are experts at understanding whoever we target
We are comprehensive and innovative in our approach to research
We are thought leaders
We are invested and involved
We are passionate, energetic, and fun
Our knowledge is critical to build successful targeted products or services
What is the key idea?
People exposed to the brand should walk away with the impression: Oxyopia is a team that is youthful and modern/current, but also experienced and wise.
Why should they care?
Because we’re (going to be) more insightful than anybody trying to do the same thing and we can help them achieve customer goals that elude them today.
