The following is essential info! Please read carefully!
The project is called:
Reading Bear [with a space between "Reading" and "Bear"]
This is mainly going to be used in a website banner, combining words with a mascot.
It's "a project of WatchKnow" (just WatchKnow, not WatchKnowLearn--please see the attachment). The name "WatchKnow", as it appears in the "WatchKnowLearn" logo, should be a *small* part of the Reading Bear logo.
For the color palette, please use the blues and greens that you can see in the WatchKnowLearn logo.
You can view a (completely undesigned) demo of the site at: http://watchknowreader.busedge.com/ Please note that the name of the site is "Reading Bear" first and foremost. "WatchKnow" should be a *small* part of the logo, not the same size as you can see now on the demo.
The site is for little kids, ages 0 to 6. The logo should be obvious and playful, and in general, appealing to little kids. The mascot, in particular, should be not just an abstract design or a photograph, but a *mascot*, a character, The Reading Bear. Probably a cartoon, and in any case, a bear that kids can identify with.
DO NOT submit a logo with artwork from any other site. If I notice that it's a copy of another logo, or if someone points out your source to me, I'll be blocking you from participation and might report you to 99designs admin. Also: if you do this, you're being lazy and dishonest, and I really don't like that.
I previously (unwisely) did a logo + web page design contest, and didn't select a winner due to a lack of (credible) participation. A few of those logos looked rather good. I hope their designers resubmit just those logos.
Feel free to ask me any more questions of clarification in the chat area, and I'll be happy to answer.
