We are launching whats on urban .com a promotional events directory to compliment our nightclub promotions business. We are looking to be the UK's premier nightclub and event promotion company and website.
As well as listing events we are looking to attract advertising and sponsorship from nightclubs and related businesses. We will be launching the new site at the end of May and will be holding a launch party in a top hotel with invited guests from the nightclub and entertainment industry.

We have 2 audiences - night clubbers typically in the 18 - 30 age group who will use the site to find new nightclubs - look at the events calendar - buy tickets -
Advertisers, promoters, DJ's and sponsors who will advertise and promote their clubs, events and services on the site or use us to completely manage their promotional activity offline, typically we place a promoter in a club to completely manage the clubs promotions and advertising.
The current website http://www.whatsonurban.com is due to be completely re designed and although we currently have a logo on the site, we do not like it.
The logo does not need to include the .com or the www although we may ask the winning designer to provide the final design both with and without the .com
The site is going to be obviously based on a night club / night life theme and we like the idea of having the banner of the site containing a night time city skyline - we have attached an image that will be very close to what we will use in the banner and the logo will need to sit somewhere on this banner and the navigation buttons will sit at the bottom of the banner - we would remove the water from this image and just have the skyline element
You do NOT need to submit your design on the banner
We would also like the logo to be used on promotional materials such as t shirts and baseball caps - so the logo should contain an element that can be isolated from the text of the logo and be used on a t shirt. A good example of this can be seen at http://www.clubplanet.com - the text can be seperated from the symbol and the symbol still represents the brand
