Todos Santos is a brand new Mexican restaurant concept we will be opening in California in 3 months.
This is a new concept for our restaurant group and one we've been extremely excited about for sometime. We have an incredible Chef and this is very much a culinary driven concept with a strong focus on premium tequila, mescal, wine and cocktails.
LOGO & RESTAURANT CONCEPT:
Todos Santos means "All Saints" - We're not necessarily looking for a picture of a Saint but something creative along those lines.
We're also a big fan of the font used on the http://palmillarestaurant.com/ building exterior for the words "Palmilla" - If we could incorporate a version of that text into part of the logo, that'd be great.
We are going for a clean, modern and elegant design approach. We do not consider the restaurant to be fine dining necessarily...but we certainly going to provide an elevated dining experience, modern furniture, incredible ambiance and service. http://palmillarestaurant.com/ is a great example of the type of vibe we're hoping to achieve with the brand and the restaurant.
I've also uploaded some of the slides we used for our original presentation. All of the images used in that deck coincide with the ambiance and approach to our new restaurant. Also a preview of your menu and the elevated cuisine our Chef has put together. Hope that is helpful.
COLORS & BRANDING:
We envision the logo as mostly black/white/hints of grey. Minimal color except for maybe a small accent of blue or red.
Red and blue are common in a lot of Mexican fine dining restaurants, and we will be incorporating some of these elements into our newly renovated dining room. We prefer a more subtle, elegant incorporation of any color as opposed to a very bright, multi-colored and commercial design that resembles more of a fast food or fast casual experience.
- We've included a few examples of how the blue has been used in other similar restaurants concepts. This shade of blue is commonly associated with blue agave, a popular ingredient used to make tequila in Mexico. The restaurant will feature a blue accent wall (see attachment) or some blue LED lighting within the venue as well. Our team keeps coming back to the word "subtle" when talking about color in the logo. Hope that helps. Thanks!
We're certainly open to designers inspiration here but will say that we very much like the font used to spell "Palmilla" on the exterior of their venue (http://palmillarestaurant.com/wp-co…atio-2.jpg).
Sorry for the long brief but just trying to include as much detail as possible. Please let us know if we can answer any questions that may make the design process earlier for you. Thanks!
