iVenture is a new real-world on-campus exprience in launching a business in the McGuire Center at the University of Arizona. Students are given an opportunity to launch a business and sell their products in the real world. We offer mentorship, connect them to suppliers, teach them hands-on skills and help fund their venture. The objective of the course is to help students on their journey to earning income independently, utilizing their skills and talent. We seek out students from across campus who have a small business or an idea they hope to commercilize. We make the world a little less scary by helping them take steps forward in building, prototyping, web development, branding, marketing and selling.

I really want to capture the spirit of taking the first step on a journey, building something new. It's about discovery, learning through doing, creating, making things (not about textbooks and academia). Students might be engineers, designers, artists, photographers, scientists... it's not about starting the next Uber, but rather about going on the journey and operating with excellence. It's about building an exciting and independent future doing something they love and benefitting their community. Small buisness: the backbone of the economy.
