I work in marketing (strategy and online promotion tactics mostly) and I love theatre. I do several shows a year with both community and small professional theatre companies. I use Sold Out Run as a platform to share my experience as a marketing professional and help theatre folk understand how to effectively promote their shows.
UPDATE 11/1/12 - If you are performing a show for three weeks, that means you are doing a three week run of that show. So the idea of a "sold out run" is that you would sell every ticket to every show during those three weeks.

The focus of this site is to shake theatre promoters out of the idea that they just print a few post cards and cross their fingers that word of mouth will spread. They do have control over the number of tickets they sell, and I give them tactics (and the mindset) to bring in the crowds.
