1: Perhaps we should also consider bringing the horizontal line through the A out the left side of the logo, the potrusion being equal distance to that on the right....for a more balanced appearance.
2: you all are using the wrong HONDA logo...if you read below, it has to be a Helvetica font...upper case H and lower case for the rest "Honda"...it's a Canadian design/requirement.
3: most designs are making the stripes too narrow...a consistent heavier stripe looks better in my opinion.
4: PLease feel free to experiment with this design concept....it is a stylized A and H...with the A forming the roofline of a house.
5: I am sensitive that the font for Auto House be balanced with the size of the logo...many aren't....most have the font too large....also with regard to the font, the simpler and cleaner...the better...less is more...don't try to make the font have graphics that distract from the logo....clean, contemporary, modern, and co-ordinated with he logo will win the day! Think chrome badging on a car. Can't be too fancy a font.
6.I need to feel it...a well balanced, clean design...just because you can doesn't mean you should. NO COLOURS ON THE LOGO than the horizontal stripe (SHADING AND GREY SCALE ARE FINE MAYBE CHROME LOOK-----no color-----...more dealerships are being added in the future of the Auto House group that will have different color requirements.
7. A stylized A in a circle representing a wheel or tire or gear might work as well...a different approach.
I don't want to stray too far from my rough sketch (unless someone has a brilliant suggestion)...so the creative part is pretty much done. What I need now is to work with proportions, spacing and thickness of the actual stripes in the logo. Also I need the name : AUTO HOUSE that would co-ordinate with this design, and would like multiple suggestions with regard to fonts, and upper or lower cases. At the end of AUTO HOUSE will be the word Honda, or Mazda. The Honda font is already specified as Helvettica Red, and the Mazda word is in Mazda Blue and is their registered trademark of the word Mazda that you can find anywhere on the web.Our AUTO HOUSE name should be in black. The horizontal stripe and the manufacturer"s name shall be in matching colours of red or blue. The Font for our name should also co-ordinate well with either of these manufacturer's names as well as our Logo. The Honda word (Helvetica) uses Upper case H, and lower case for the rest of the word.
