I provide services for hire that are a mix of advising on health care policy at the national level, and hands-on health care redesign work in practice. EX: one of my clients is a primary care practice focused on creating a new model of primary care that is patient-driven, and another is a national consumer advocacy group which helps write laws so patients get better care. I work on issues ranging from health information technology to patient-centered health care, and my uniqueness is due to my experience working on behalf of patients and families. I believe that when patients partner up with doctors to redesign the system, that's where innovation happens and care gets better. I do NOT want the look and feel of a consulting group, but am challenged by a name that sounds like one, and it is essentially what I do! Consultants can have a bad rap, so I want the feel of a mission-driven organization that is more hip, and actually delivers what it says. More at http://www.bechtelhealth.org but I don't like the logo you'll see there. Too political. Also uploaded pic of my office with a painting reflecting similar color scheme I like. I am seeking the right conceptual look/feel that is not literal health (no red crosses please!) but reflects the concepts I work on and who I am. I am smart, think non-traditionally, happy to roam around outside the box, and have been described as solution-oriented, lively, engaging, and good at building relationships. THANKS!!
