Brigada seeks to provide resources, trends, and motivation for cross-cultural travelers, humanitarian aid workers, missionaries, and all those who care about the globe. Staged from the offices of Team Expansion in Louisville, Kentucky, Brigada Today is like "Lifehacker" for cross-cultural servants. (For inspiration then, see http://lifehacker.com .) The name, "Brigada," comes from the word "brigade" in languages like Russian and Spanish. The idea of a brigade implies that cross-cultural travelers would do well to work together and "pass along" the resources, news, trends, and motivation that they learn in their work and life. Over 7000 community development specialists, NGO volunteers, Peace Corps workers, and others have signed up one at a time, each individually, to receive and read the email version. Still others visit the web version regularly, making Brigada one of the longest-running (since January 1995) and widest-read publication specifically for cross-cultural workers.

The weekly email version will prominently feature the logo in the header, so a low-bandwidth, emailable version is essential. The logo will also be featured on brochures, traveling displays, and in ads inviting prospective reader and subscribers.
