Typefaces and color palettes, ideas that I like - http://pinterest.com/totsuka/typeface/
I am in the process of having 10 websites designed, all for individual towns/cities. This is a layout of a website that I like (http://www.livelovecharlotte.com/) which my web designer will use as a template for my webdesign. My website will look more like a pinterest board and have options to include video, blog articles and listings. I want my websites to have much more of a lifestyle feel to them than your typical real estate website. They will be very photo centric. All 10 of these website will have the same logo, just a different city. (i.e. - This is Healdsburg or This is Sonoma, This is Ross etc.). There will be a tagline under the logo which will read "North Bay Luxury Real Estate".
I would like a pretty, modern, unpretentious logo but at the same time it has to be polished enough to sell luxury real estate. I also like whimsy but am not sure this is appropriate. I am with a company called Sotheby's International Realty which is a big luxury brand. My website company came up with this logo which I don't like. http://cl.ly/image/023M3h2P131W It just seems very ordinary and uncreative. I don't however, mind the use of two colors.
I realize I'm kind of schizophrenic in what I like (modern/simple vs. feminine/a tiny bit fussy or pretty). I would never wear pink but I love when it's used as a pop of color in homes and housewares. That said I'm concerned that it may be too feminine although women do make most of the home buying decisions so maybe...
Finally, I'm attaching a logo that was designed for me several years ago around the first and last initial of my name TO that i though was actually pretty clever. I have never used it. Not sure if I even want it incorporated but I thought I would include it. I do not like the colors that are used in this "door logo" at all.
Current website is http://www.tracyotsuka.com. Don't love it but don't hate it either. Certainly don't love the logo that is being used there. Thanks so much!
