I started my business offering CFO services on an hourly basis to small to mid-sized companies. The concept is “Every company needs a CFO, but not all companies need one full time” So I would work as a CFO for multiple clients on an hourly contract basis for those businesses that either could not afford a full time CFO or did not need one full time.
After doing this for about 2 years I was frustrated because these clients all were privately owned businesses and they would ask me…..”So how are we doing?” and I would say “compared to what?? – you have no distinct goals and no distinct plans on how you would reach those goals” So I added Strategic Growth Planning to my services and “tried” to require it of any client that wanted my financial expertise. Thus: a goal without a plan is merely a wish….. You may WANT 20% growth but if you don’t plan out what you are going to do differently to achieve it, then you are just wishing on a star.
This was going well, but then I realized that the CEO’s or owners of these companies typically were not good managers. So they would take their plan and go back to the office, but they were unable to effectively manage their staff to do the additional work required to make the plan succeed. So then I started offering Executive and Management coaching to make people more accountable, and in many cases I also become the Chief Strategy Officer for a year and take over leading the Plan implementation.
Just recently I decided I want to also add a service that is unique to me. I have always been able to intuitively read people. I can read their face structures and their expressions, body language and verbal cues and nail their personalities and their true intentions. I didn’t realize for a long time that not everyone could do this. I was always surprised that other people could tell if someone was lying or being manipulative or was scared or guilty. It was all very transparent to me. After doing some research I realized that “what” I do is read facial structure, micro expressions, and body language and verbal cues. My talent comes from a dysfunctional abusive childhood where I was hyper observant of those around me to try and protect myself.
I am NOT your typical CFO. I am young (45), female, fun, outspoken….I tell clients what they need to hear and not what they want to hear. This often focuses on their staff. Sometimes their current staff is an anchor to their business and no one wants to hear that. Sometime they are underutilizing what I perceive as great talent because they cannot manage.
I have added “with Julie Rose” because there are other companies called Unlimited Potential out there and I want to be distinct as to which company is mine.
I have a passion for working with women entrepreneurs and just recently have made it a strategic goal of mine to work with Metaphysical professionals. I am a very spiritual person…not religious….spiritual. I often work and collaborate with healers, people that channel, intuitive etc. This market segment is COMPLETELY ignored by the typical CFO because their businesses are not taken seriously. But these people have growing, thriving businesses…..most charging over $200/hour.
What I want to communicate is this:
"I know you think Strategic Planning is boring and time consuming and basically a waste of time."
BUT My workshops allow a company to create a 3 year growth plan in 8 hours. Through a series of exercises I walk them through we create a fun, fast paced, focused process to get the job done in one day instead of several weeks or months. We identify clear, measurable objectives and create an action plan to achieve those results. My other services, if they take advantage of them, make sure the process does not stall one or two months after the workshop. I keep them focused and moving forward for 12 months, at which time they know enough to create the next year’s plan themselves and implement it themselves.
Most CEO’s don’t have the desire nor the talent nor the time to spend trying to figure out how to create a Strategic Plan and then keep their staff focused to implement it. They are too busy working IN the business to work ON the business. I try and change that dynamic. So when I am referred to a client, I tell the CEO, let me handle this process. You will tell me where you want to go….and I will facilitate creating an action plan to get you there, then I will personally work with your staff to ensure the action plan is executed.

I have also been compared to Gordon Ramsey of Hell’s Kitchen, where I take no prisoners and accept no excuses from owners or their staffs. I expose the problems or obstacles be they people, processes or whatever and then we move forward from there.
BUT if you commit and really follow the program, then I have been compared to a mother hen, nurturing and finding the highest potential in every staff member.
