ABOUT THE INITIATIVE - BACKGROUND INFORMATION “Leaders for Climate Action” started to shape early 2019 to engage in climate protection and to fight climate crisis. By now, the group has around 40 supporters (early June) and continues to grow on a weekly basis. Members are solely German wide C-Level - founders and top management - each of them leading predominantly digital companies, but not exclusively (we are open to all industries). GOAL, AREAS OF ENGAGEMENT AND TARGET GROUP Our aim is to stand up publicly for the urgent need to put climate protection on the forefront of political and general public’s attention, action and results. We are gathering a solid network of leading scientists (e.g. climate researchers, economists and renewable energy experts) to learn and backup both what we claim, however, also what we do ourselves. Whereas the regulatory level (government) has the highest impact and is therefore absolutely critical to support and to challenge - we also act ourselves by moving our businesses to net zero greenhouse gas emissions and to support other businesses in doing so. Also, we plan to promote lighthouse projects (e.g. in the area of green technology) to learn and showcase all of us that an emission-free economy and society is possible. Our target group is very broad - we will be noticed by general public, by politics, scientists and of course media. The logo should also attract more supporters, who fit to our initiative, as we intend to grow continuously. In order to get as much influence as possible we are focussing on Germany first - it is the 4th biggest economy worldwide and has a strong lighthouse effect. DESCRIPTIVE ADJECTIVES, NOUNS Rather fast than slow Rather do than talk Rather leadership than management Rather questioning status quo than accepting status quo Rather focussing on chances than ending up in despair Rather modern than traditional Rather climate first than profits first IMPORTANT: While our initiative is different from other climate initiatives in the sense of “top leadership only” - and we also only want to attract members with this status - it is of great importance for us that leadership (being a leader, a role model and someone that serves his team, his company and society in general) is not mistaken with elite (someone that stands above everything). Our goal is to use our power to create a climate friendly world for all humans.

Estilo de diseño
Ideas we like: - Planet / globe that visualizes atmosphere (e.g. with a glow, ring...) because this is what climate protection is about (saving our atmosphere) - Sth. like "our planet is wonderful" (=> hard to give a proper briefing here, the general idea is to convey a positive message, even though the topic is so serious) Rather wrong direction: - Put a person in focus. Cf. last section in the briefing above => We are leaders, but our action is about climate (and leaders can be mistaken with elite). This goes for the icon as well as the wording: Rather put "climate" or "climate action" bold or large than "leaders". Technically, the logo shouldn't be *too* detailed, because this won't work very well (e.g. in print). It has to work everywhere: On a website as home icon, on print (both color / black & white) and also stand alone (just icon). Ideally also with the brand name below or next to it.
