The Y is looking to develop a new website which provides young people with up to date and locally sourced information, advice and learning on all things money.
The YMoneyMatters website will provide a simple and effective source of learning and information which will be specific and focused on the needs of disadvantaged young people. The website will provide young people with information and guidance on a variety of money matters and give youth and education workers basic tools from which they can draw down and utilise for class-room based activity.
The intention is that this site becomes a one-stop-shop for access and young people focused and friendly information and guidance that will be easy to; navigate, digest and update that will meet the changing demands and levels of engagement of The Y’s homeless and disengaged young people.
The Y has been working with homeless and vulnerably housed young people for many years. This website development project is a direct response to the needs of these young people
The design and content of the YMoneyMatters website will be young people led.
