The word Tanoshii means fun in Japanese. That is because Mazda's are extremely fun cars (take a ride in a Miata if you don't believe me!). I want to compliment their cars with a line up of aftermarket parts that are designed to enhance the ride of an already capable platform. I want something professional but fun, something that is modern and appeals to people between the ages of 25-35.
I want a simple logo. I really like the logo of Integrated Engineering. They took an icon for pistons and made it into a cool symbol - since their focus is engine parts, it makes the perfect logo to express their company. I want a very simple but elegant icon to represent my brand. I am a huge fan of logos that incorporate shapes or letters that have a connection to the name or business directly (see the Spartan Golf logo for example - the golfer looks like a spartan helmet, but it is a simple and elegant icon). Another example is the Passenger 7 Media logo: they incorporated the P and 7 to look like a camera since it's a media company. I am not a fan of completely abstract shapes that have zero meaning (which is why I am not using the mock up I created, because that logo is just the negative space of Mazda's own logo!). The mock up that I attached shows what type of font I would like to use and the colors I am looking for. Also, in the mock up I made I don't like how the logo is in the middle of the name of the company, I prefer they are separate.
The logo will be used in the following applications:
-car windshield banners
