Our company makes websites, and we spend a lot of time focusing on user experience. I want to convey that in the form of a psilocybin mushroom. The words "Some Kind of Mushroom" come from the Jefferson Airplane song "White Rabbit" which is about an LSD trip ("experience", geddit? LOL).
I'm looking to put together a flat design for our site. I need a logo that captures the essence of "magic mushrooms" / "1960s acid trips" but can still be just one solid colour without gradients of any kind.
Ideally the logo would fit perfectly inside a circle. Extra points go to clever renditions of a psilocybin mushroom that are reminiscent of 1960s drug culture AND 2014 digital culture.
The words "Some Kind of Mushroom" don't HAVE to appear on the logo. If they do, I'd prefer they were tightly integrated into the design. However, a pictorial mark is okay too.
UPDATE: I'm specifically looking for a 1969 design aesthetic. Do a search for "1969 poster" and you'll see what I mean. Graphics were hand drawn back then, typography was big and swirly, there were lots of embellishments in and around any typography like flowers, peace signs, etc. That's the kind of imagery I'd like to inform the logo. What would be kind of neat would be to have the logo "degenerate" into 8-bit pixels (1969 meets 2014) but that 1969 aesthetic needs to come first.
