I used to like my logo. I want something different. I'm afraid the logo that I use now looks too much like everyone else's.
I'm a fan of the simplicity and "cleanness" of the Larkburger logo. Actually I love their whole site (http://www.larkberger.com).
My demographics are blue collar. I'm attempting to appeal to a younger group. I'd like to convey quality, yet somewhat playful. What I really want convey that we're different than your typical dental experience.
I think I would like a kind of abstract pictoral mark to go along with the business name similar to the Larkburger design. If possible, it would be cool to base the abstract mark on the slides/drawings of the histological slides I've attached. These are different histological sections of developing teeth. The shapes are interesting and it would give a kind of hipster/meta twist to the design. Feel free to find other histological diagrams/photos to base a design on.
I want the pictograph/symbol to be usable with or without the name of the practice. Further, I want the pictograph not to be obviously tooth-like. I'm hoping that you'll use the histological slides to guide you but I want the pictograph to be abstract enough that it doesn't really look like a tooth. Maybe a dentist who's studied tooth histology would recognize it.
No toothbrushes. No smiles. No typical dental stuff. Show me different. Make me the Apple of dental logos.
