1984 No More: Logo for New Political Movement to Unite the Left, Center and Right

A new political movement that is crafted to unite left, center, and right factions against the corporate elite that control most governments by focusing on process based politics over policy based politics. The target audience is thus as broad as possible, ideally trying to capture the 70% of people who are not tied in the current corrupt system and are looking for real change and are sick of voting for the lesser of two evils every election. As the name 1984 suggests the movement will be pushing back against some of the more tyrannical/totalitarian tendencies that governments have adopted around the world, hopefully on points the left and right can agree - again focusing on fixing the process of government with innovative ideas over divisive policy debates. One of the ways is to devolve more power back to localities and the citizens themselves as putting too much power in one person or a group of elites tends to result in bad policy and further increases division. I.e. when a president is given so much authority with a veto, that person will polarize the country and force otherwise sane people to support bad actions of a politician because he is the "lesser of the two evils" on issues they care about most. If that power is devolved to a "citizen's veto" instead (and there are ways of doing this securely and conveniently with modern encryption technologies and properly designed protocols and filters) - the president becomes much more irrelevant and divisive and the people's will is better reflected in policy.

I would like a very distinctive logo that could be put on Tshirts and hats to get the message out. Another thing I am looking for is the logo to be compatible stylistically with a background color that is somewhat distinctive and not seen every day (i.e. not common red, white, blue, black). I was originally thinking a very light lime green which could symbolize "grassroots," but also could be seen as "green movement" which gets into policy, and would not be good. The reason for this is there can be laws against wearing logos to polls in various places around the world, but if everyone showed up with a color of a distinctive unique color on election day it could be a demonstration of power to show how many people support the cause (making election fraud more obvious - one way of mitigation when done properly), without being illegal. That color would not necessarily need to be in the logo itself, but it should be compatible as the logo would likely most commonly be put on such shirts. merchandise for that reason. Purple, violet, etc. are some ideas I had, but I am open to ideas. Maybe not so strange cannot be easily sourced at one of the large tshirt suppliers, but still not a color worn that often. My design instincts are abysmal so I need suggestions and will probably get some feedback from some friends of mine with a better eye for graphics, which is the reason I like the contest process.
