Outlandish is a small digital agency based in north London(http://outlandishideas.co.uk/). We're re-building our website and rebranding the company and need a flexible logo that can better convey our brand.
We do data visualisation, back-end data tools, websites, games and educational tools.
We do a lot of prototyping - e.g. quickly hacking something together to see if it works, or coming up with some slightly unusual ideas to solve a problem.
We work for private companies, universities, broadcasters, public sector organisations and financial services providers.
We're aiming to convey our key values which are:
We'd like to be seen as quite young and fun to work with, but not too whacky to be trusted with all your sensitive data and important deadlines. We're already called 'Outlandish' so the logo doesn't have to be too, err... outlandish.
We want the logo to work well in greyscale or a single colour, though it's main/normal form can have more colours in.
We'd like a version of the logo that can work as a small square (e.g. a favicon or stamp) but the main version can be a banner format.
We're keen to avoid cliches such as lightbulbs.
We're currently branded as Outlandish Ideas and would consider logos that incorporate that, but are primarily planning on just going with Outlandish from now on.
Our current direction for our web redesign combines clean digital elements with a more sketched/hand drawn aesthetic. We like that idea but are not completely set on it if you think you have something we'd like better.
