My primary visitors are in their 20s and 30s, college educated, with their own financial struggles. They are focused on how they can make better choices in order to get the things they want in a responsible way, rather than a focus on frugality/minimalism.
I want my logo to reflect a sense of process or continuity - staying out of debt is more important than getting out. I do like my current logo but the quality is poor. I would like to keep the design modern and fairly simple, something I can use in color or black and white.
I'd love to incorporate an image related to debt, but not a dollar sign or piggy bank because those are everywhere! Maybe a credit card swiping through the words? I don't know; that's why I'm not a designer. :)
It's been brought to my attention that I kind of suck at explaining what I am looking for, so I'm hoping this will help. Some popular logos I like: ShareBuilder, PNC Virtual Wallet, ubuntu, Shutterfly, Tiny Prints, Firefox, BP, Puma, Amazon.com. Simple, modern, easily recognized.
In my own niche, these are some of the personal finance blogs with logos I like: wisebread.com, almostfrugal.com, genywealth.com, and moneycrush.com.
Visit http://www.sooverdebt.com to get an idea of the way the site looks now and the colors I'm using. The site design will change at some point, but the color scheme and general feel will remain the same. The winning designer will also have the opportunity (eventually) to redesign my website.
PLEASE DO NOT USE: cartoons, animals, clipart, dorky bubbly fonts, copyrighted material.
