Logo needed for a K-8 Catholic School Fundraiser/Gala/Auction. Event is April 23 in our newly constructed school gym. Overall vibe is Palm Springs in the 1970s (see attached mood board). Below is all information we have for event so far. We just need a logo to go with all these ideas. We want to stress that we would like design to be elevated- more luxe cocktail party than bridal shower. This isn't an outdoor affair contrary to mood board - not a pool party. Event is indoors. We would like to lean into a more art deco / mid century modern art feel. We want it to read Palm SPRINGS 1971. Event Space Design - Event planners are using a very Slim Aarons-esque design ("interesting people, doing interesting things, in interesting places"). Aside from the cool, vintage aesthetic (which compliments the band), it also generates a good energy and a communal feel (things we wish to invoke with school families.) Design for event space will use clean, modern lines and will play well with the gym's cool wood tones. Logo – See attached photos of mood board. We want a cool graphic with vintage colors and the "Rex Gala 2022" with a themed subtitle "Here Comes the Sun" Colors - let's do warmer versions of colors - we like sun yellows, turquoise blues, warm orange and pops of soft pink Vibe & Attire - We want this to feel more like an adult 70's cocktail party as opposed to a 70's HS prom. This allows lots of great opportunities for guests to choose inspired-attire rather than themed-attire. Theme / Subtitle for Logo - for inspiration, we've leaned into early 70's music. The goal was something that evokes a communal feel (think "I'd like to buy the world a coke") . . . with a relaxed, positive energy; but still polished. These themes should be easy to connect to gala highlights such as the Garden fund-a-need or live auction items. Lots of room for creativity on the details.
