I would like to make this look like a fun place for people and for their pets to visit. Like a fun, almost live cartoon people can walk into. But at the same time we also want to reflect a high level of quality. We would also like our logo to include an animation drawing of the small dog in the pictures. He is a small, pudgy dog named Wiggl-e who has a very big personality(rescued from a high kill shelter in South Los Angeles). He weighs about 22lbs. I'm including a few actual photographs of the actual dog we are using as our logo mascot example and hope you can draw him. Thank you so much!!!! Very excited to see what you come up with!
We are hoping just the character drawing will be clear enough that eventually the drawing alone will become synonymous with our brand.
I have included a design that I started myself(obviously I'm no pro). I played around with fonts and I sort of like the font "Showcard Gothic" because it has that cartoon look that keeps it fun. But please do it however you think will make it look best and have the most readable curb appeal.
I made the name follow the dog house roofline because it gives just the right amount of separation between the words Pet and Sav without having to put a dash. But, you could maybe put the dog in between each word? Obviously, the name implies not only a savings on the items we sell but...the lives we are saving at the shelter. But 99% of people don't want to think about that so we are marketing ourselves 100% as a pet supply store for profit on the front end. But on the back end, we are really aiming to turn the pet supply industry into a recycle system that turns the profits into the most powerful voice there is for the animals that are less fortunate.
I'd also like to keep the entire design in 2 or 3 colors max. The roofline I put in the design is supposed to be the top of a dog house. My attempt was to make it a little more cartoonish(by aiming the post inward) but I don't know how to add grain to it or any of that. But the roof line color certainly needs something to separate it from the "PETSAV" text above it as it looks "bla". But I'm also trying not to add too much detail as I don't want people getting lost in the design. Does that make sense? Ok...not sure what else to add here. Thank you so much for your help!
