Phoenix Foundation (Will be PhoenixFoundation.com) is a philanthropic foundation that will sponsor couples that have fertility issues to get IVF (In vitro fertilisation). Phoenix Foundation will make this expensive medical treatment available to families that otherwise could never afford it on their own. The brand and the foundation should serve as a symbol of hope for couples that otherwise couldn't get pregnant, or afford this type of procedure otherwise.

We will be primarily targeting women (the wishful mother-to-be). When I close my eyes I can imagine a mother holding a baby, and somehow the phoenix rising is outlined around this art/mark. Please make it your own, but that's just what I imagine when I think of it. Phoenix, to my wife and I, who are funding this foundation and who had issues getting pregnant ourselves, is a symbol of rising, rebirth, hope, anew, another chance. This bird traditionally is accompanied by burning colors, oranges yellows reds etc. I don't think those colors are appropriate for this brand. I imagine something with more greens/mints, perhaps yellow, but with mint, I think of it as refreshing, a feeling of feeling refreshed, feeling anew. I also think green or mint symbolizes growth, or plants, seeds which I think is relative from a feeling standpoint. Again the idea of renewed hope, of rising from despair, of rebirth, of new life. Please also consider a feminine or softened approach to the phoenix design that can help attract the target audience. Partial elements of a phoenix can also be used as opposed to the literal representation to help encourage design inspiration if needed. That being said, please try what you like, mock-up, and show the logo used in as many ways as you can on different mediums, t-shirts, business cards. I've done many contests in the past and invariably the designers that showcase the logo a few different ways seem to always catch my eye and win the contest.
