We NEED some Pizzzzzazzzzzz for a boring industry - HELP

ACME

My partner and I are currently starting up a water leak detection business (Finding broken pipes underground, in walls or roof leaks) with other detection services for lead and mold to be launched within the near future. There are three phases to our campaign and they will be handled independantly:
I Logo / Business Card
II Work truck graphics (see attached photos)
III Logo wear and accessories.
Competition. There are a couple well established companies providing this service (AmercanLeakdection.com). Our plan is to visually stand out from these companies by use of :
a clever, eye catching and perhaps humorous logo / theme. We have several preliminary theme ideas that have used ACME in their personality:
1) Looney Tunes cartoon
2) Inspector Clouseau (illustrated)
3)Emergency/ Urgent
We selected "ACME" because derived from Greek (ακμή; English transliteration: acmē) meaning the peak, zenith or best, and products from the fictional Acme Corporation (looney toons) have generic recognition.
A play on the looney toons and/or inspector clueseau could be fun.. We want people to see our logo and to be intrigued by clever humor and professionalism.

This is an existing growing market with few competitors. Our target audiance will individual residences, property managers, facitilty managers, restauants, schools, colleges and other organizations that may have future needs for our "detection" services. As indicated above, our targets are diverse in nature, sophistication and personality.

Please feel free to be creative and bend our thoughts / concepts! Simplier is better. The baseline theme is "dectective/inspector" as it relates to finding water leaks, lead and mold.

3) Some of the other logos (attached), such as ACME speed shop, blackflow, sceenry company and the RV were nice and simple as well.
A play on the looney toons and/or inspector clueseau will be fun. We like the way ACME looks in a sphere so the A and E are tapered smaller. To see the Acme in a magnifying glass as held by clueseau would be good. If using a likeness of Clueseau, the thin legs of the early one with the larger upper body characteristics of the later one might work. Or to see the acme under a water droplet or puddle also appearing magnified and rounded. We also like the script on Wile E Coyote's rocket. For general character of the logo, this is a Quasi Emergency type of business. The work Van Pictures attached, dark blue with a white top. We thought it would play as a police/crime scene inspection van. The french (Clueseau) colors are Blue and white.

We would like to work one designer for all three phases starting with the logo design.. JPEG is prefered.
