I founded Pinch Hit Partners to provide small and mid-sized companies access to senior level marketing talent that they cannot afford on a full-time basis. Fractional executives are becoming more accepted by business owners and CEOs and, at the same time, the practice of marketing is becoming extremely complex. Busy executives can’t keep up with the new technologies, vendors, social networks and promotional opportunities in the marketplace. While many companies may already employ less experienced, full-time marketers, a fractional chief marketing officer (CMO) brings a strategic mindset, business acumen, vendor network and broad experience across marketing disciplines, customer experience and sales. In baseball, a pinch hitter comes into the game to provide a spark - to get a hit, advance a baserunner and provide a fresh player late in the game when the starters are not as effective.

While "Pinch Hit" is clearly a baseball term, I don't want the logo to go over-the-top with a baseball theme. While I like something like an old fashioned team jersey logo like the attached images I don't want anything cartoonish. I like classic, simple. The logo should work well in one color and multiple colors and should be able to be used in small applications like social media profile pictures which tend to be small squares. While black may be a good color for one color uses, I would imagine using the logo on top of other images which may be predominantly green like the grass of a baseball field. The primary market for my services will be business owners and CEOs so the logo needs to illustrate quality, professionalism while still being eye catching. While most target clients may be male, the logo must also be attractive and engaging to females.
