Whole Cannabis Productions is a licensed recreational and medical marijuana company in Washington State. We grow best-in-class pro-biotic cannabis with expanded reach into other products including vapor oils and edibles. We pride ourselves on bringing to market products free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides, thereby providing a clean, smooth, pleasant experience with an enjoyable effect for our customers.
Our “clean” position is unique in the cannabis industry and is a mission-critical component of our product. Most cannabis brands take the easier route to cut corners and grow products containing pesticides.
We desire a logo that represents our brand position (premiere) and that we grow our product with high standards and integrity. We believe this message will resonate across a broad spectrum of customers therefore we desire visual branding that will catch the eye of many demographics. From Millennials to Baby Boomers, our target are curious and conscious consumers who appreciate high quality, natural products.
Branding in this market bombards audiences with copycat design: Blue, green, black, grey, brown packaging with mountains and cannabis leaves are the go-to visual elements for a large majority of our competitors. Our goal is to present the company above and beyond that style. Furthermore, nearly all cannabis companies print on the same style of Mylar bags creating a situation in which it is difficult to distinguish one brand from another. Imagine soda cans on a shelf - all the same shape and size, therefore their colors and patterns all must appear unique to be identified. Ultimately our logo must stand out among the crowd and visually compel customers with its look and feel.
We grow top-shelf, all-natural cannabis and require a logo that represents our quality, our commitment and our excellence.
Desired design dos & don’ts:
Multi-purpose design to allow for placement in a variety of locations. For example stack words vertically for easier use on Mylar packaging.
Do not emphasize the word WHOLE on its own, we would prefer
WHOLE CANNABIS to be emphasized or all three words
WHOLE CANNABIS PRODUCTIONS
Ability to extend the reach of the initial logo into other sub-brand families (e.g. a “parent” logo with “child” logos produced and added to the product line-up over time). We need a versatile design for use on a variety of product packaging styles (of varying shapes and sizes), including cylinders, rectangles, and circles.
Avoid depictions of mountains, hexagons, droplets and pot leaves, stars. We see these symbols used often in cannabis and we do not want to look like everyone else.
Avoid fonts that are too detailed or delicate making typeface difficult to read.
